They're also light, durable and thinner than vinyl, which makes them more flexible.

Our stencils are professionally laser cut in the USA from a high quality non-adhesive 10 mil mylar sheet material. They are semi-transparent and reusable. Mylar is superior to vinyl, as it's durable and strong enough to be used over and over again. It's also non-toxic, chemical resistant and food safe. 10 mil mylar is ideal for almost any type of paint, as well as for plasters where a raised or embossed effect is desired. Many professional artisans prefer to use 10 mil mylar as it's strong and durable, but still allows for flexibility when using on curved surfaces.
