If you drag the laces anyway with the cord locking, the friction will damage your laces and those extra thin laces may slide under the clamp disc, and you will have to reinstall the lock. Q: How to put these on shoelaces?A: Press the button down and hold it while threading the laces though the holes on the lock. Once the laces are through, release the button to lock.
